The U.S. Army Corps plans to remove about 100,000 cubic years of sand from the Chincoteague Inlet to keep the navigation channel open for watercraft. The Virginian-Pilot reports that the annual dredging will begin March 6 and is scheduled to continue for 21 days. The corps says the work isn’t expect
The U.S. Army Corps plans to remove about 100,000 cubic years of sand from the Chincoteague Inlet to keep the navigation channel open for watercraft.
The Virginian-Pilot reports that the annual dredging will begin March 6 and is scheduled to continue for 21 days.
The corps says the work isn’t expected to interfere with vessels in the channel.
