On May 9, the Public Works of Bureau of Oran Province of Algeria announced that the First Bid Section of Breakwater Reinforcement Project of Oran Civil Port had been awarded to CHEC/ETRHB consortium. The value of the contract is around USD 64.66 million, with a construction period of 24 months.
Related provisional bid-awarding announcement was published on local newspapers and websites.
The project is the first international bid invitation project in the marine engineering market of Algeria in 2010. The office in Algeria of CHEC established a consortium with ETRHB HADDAD to bid for the project. CHEC holds 51% of the consortium and ETRHB HADDAD holds 49% of it.
