USA: Preparations Underway for Port Royal Beach Renourishment

Part of Islanders Beach Park on Hilton Head Island will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic starting Thursday as equipment needed to renourish Port Royal Beach is delivered. About 6,000 feet of pipe will be delivered by truck to the site and then taken to the beach for storage and assembly.

Part of Islanders Beach Park on Hilton Head Island will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic starting Thursday as equipment needed to renourish Port Royal Beach is delivered.

About 6,000 feet of pipe will be delivered by truck to the site and then taken to the beach for storage and assembly.

The project is expected to take two months, but 86 parking spaces will remain open. Barricades and signs will direct people to open sections of the parking lot.
