Australia: First Phase of Mordialloc Creek Dredging Completed

The first phase of the Mordialloc Creek dredging project worth $1.5 million was completed last week.

The Mordialloc Creek project was planned to be undertaken in two phases.

The first phase involved dredging around Lambert Island which started in July.

Additional $6 million for the main creek channel dredging has been contributed by the State Government over two years.

Arrangements for the second phase anticipated to commence in April, according to mayor Ron Brownlees, have highly developed.
