In November FutureLand welcomed its 300,000th visitor since the opening in 2009.

Beside the regular visiting hours, FutureLand also presents a varied programme for the winter.

The FutureLand Express is ready and waiting with blankets for tours on the new land.

During the ride everyone can take a piece of new land home with them, a bottle of ‘prehistoric sand’.

SPECIAL OPENING HOURS AND THEMES:

24 December to 8 January:

Free children’s tours for children from 6-11 years old. The children (and their parents), after a fun presentation, can make a hunt through FutureLand, learning all about the construction of Maasvlakte 2.

Until 19 February:

Exhibition ‘Land in sight!’ Large land reclamation projects of Boskalis and Van Oord in Dubai and the Maldives.

25 and 26 February:

Archaeology theme weekend. Ancestors at the bottom of the port.
