The Tampa Port Authority (TPA) has announced that it will host the fifth annual Shifting International Trade Routes on Jan. 19-20, 2012, presented by the American Association of Port Authorities’ (AAPA) , and the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD). The 1 ½ -day workshop will include presentations by leading industry experts in the field of international trade and transportation.
The workshop will examine hemispheric and global considerations affecting all the players in the goods movement supply chain. Program segments will assess the international economic outlook and shifts in global trade; present the views of cargo owners, ocean carriers, ports, terminal operators, warehouse and distribution centers, and railroads. Moreover, an informative update on the ongoing expansion of the Panama Canal will be provided, as well its implications for trade via the US Gulf, East and West Coasts.
