Spain: BPA Grants New Port Extension Concessions

The Borrad of Directors of the Port Authority of Bilbao has granted two new concessions in the new quays of the port extension area. Some 15,600 square meters have been granted to the company Ampsa Internacional, S.L. for the construction of a plant for reception, storing and distribution of cargo,

The Borrad of Directors of the Port Authority of Bilbao has granted two new concessions in the new quays of the port extension area.

Some 15,600 square meters have been granted to the company Ampsa Internacional, S.L. for the construction of a plant for reception, storing and distribution of cargo, mainly for stainless scrap metal. The plant is going to be build on the quay AZ-2 and will need an investment of 0.8 million euros.

The other concession has been granted to the company Cargor Bizkaia, S.L. and will occupy a plot of land of 26,000 square meters on the quay AZ-3. It is thought to be used for the repair, maintenance and storing of containers. It will need an investment of 1,2 million euros.
