The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC), the premier organisation representing the private dredging industry, is organising for the very first time the IADC International Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation in Recife, Brazil from 19 to 23 March 2012. Participants will have the unique opportunity to visit the on-going dredging project at the Port of Suape.
Dredging in Latin America has been steadily growing over the last few years including such mega-projects as the Panama Canal. Now Brazil is booming, and many projects and works are going on or being planned for the near future. No wonder that the Brazilian Chapter of the Western Dredging Association (WEDA) (ABD, Associação Brasileira de Dragagem) – together with other interested parties – has repeatedly asked IADC to organise a Seminar in the region.
