Beach renourishment will be on the agenda for the January 17, 2012 county commission meeting, which will be held at the Emerald Coast Conference Center at 6 PM.
Some beach front property owners had sued to stop the project claiming they would not benefit from the new sand because it would belong to the state.
But the justices ruled against that argument saying it would actually help protect property owners from storms.
The new sand will cover parts of Destin and a Barrier Island near Fort Walton Beach.
