Wares Creek Dredging and Dewatering Project in Full Production (USA)

After over 20 years of planning and design, Phase One of The Wares Creek (Cedar Hammock) Flood Control Project in Bradenton has commenced.

Transwest plans to dredge approx. 37,000 cubic yards of silt from the creek; dewater using hydrocyclone separations equpment and geotubes, and transport to local land fill.

Approximately one acre of mangrove island must be removed prior to final dredging. Located in downtown Bradenton, the construction is under the watchful eye of many Manatee County citizens.
