On February 3, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. and Zhangzhou Gulei Haiteng Wharf Investment Management Co., Ltd. (transliteration) signed the Xiamen Port Gulei Wharf Area Gulei Operation Zone South 3 & 4 Berth Engineering Construction Contract, with contractual value of RMB 125 million and construction period of 8 months.

It is noteworthy that the project is a liquid chemical public wharf project that is invested and built by Zhangzhou Gulei Haiteng Wharf Co., Ltd., with the total wharf length of 447meters and construction size of two 10,000t berths. By adopting the gravity caisson structure and marginal layout, the project can simultaneously accommodate one LPG ship of 10,000 cubic meters, one 10,000t chemical ship, and four 2,000t chemical ships. Construction content in the project includes foundation trench dredging, reclamation placement, revetment, land area formation, foundation process, and supporting facilities at the wharf etc.

Implementation of the project will help promote the resource integration in Xiamen and Zhangzhou, which is of great significance in boosting Gulei Wharf Area to become the advanced petrochemical industry base in Haixi Region.
