Israel: IPC Presents Port of Ashdod Dredging Plan

IPC has announced a plan for the Port of Ashdod dredging program.

Dredging and sand bypassing works adjacent to the Port of Ashdod and the Port of Haifa involve:

– Dredging in the port area and north of the Ashdod Marina,

– Transporting and placing the sand approximately 5- 10 kilometers north of the Port of Ashdod

Activities incorporating dredging in Ashdod Port will be conducted in water depths of approximately 27 m ILSD and the placing will take place in approximate water depths of 3m to 5m ILSD.

The project will also be focused on additional dredging and sand by-passing works adjacent to the Port of Haifa as well as on works planned to be carried out using a trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) or other comparable vessel.

A pre-bid meeting with potential bidders will be held at 10.00 o’clock on March 12, 2012 at the offices of Baran Projects Constructions Ltd./A.R.- A.D.Y.R. Construction Ltd, at the Coal Terminal on the way to the Electrical Plant of the Port of Ashdod.

The deadline for return of completed pre-qualifications is May 7, 2012.

Project period is 3 years from the date of contract award.
