The Mooloolah River dredging has been taken up again after poor weather conditions made the vessel unable to safely conduct its work, reports Sunshine CoastDaily.
Maritime Safety Queensland general manager, Patrick Quirk , said: “ We’re committed to providing navigable access to Mooloolaba harbor.”
“Our harbour master has issued a notice to boaties about the dredging and depth of the channel, we’ve also advised the Voluntary Marine Rescue and a buoy has been laid to direct vessels to the deeper water, ” he added.
MSQ will keep monitoring the harbor’s entrance depths, carrying out a routine hydrographic survey program and providing updates to mariners.
