Hernando County staff received notice from the Hernando Beach Dredge contractor that repairs to Caliente Street were not completed by March 23rd.
As a result, the dredge deadline for completion will need to be extended. The Contractor anticipates this work being completed next week.
Dredge surveys were sent to FDEP for review earlier this week for their approval. Staff continues to monitor progress of the repair work for project completion and will continue to withhold retainage until all work is completed to a satisfactory level.
Director of Environmental Services Susan Goebel-Canning will give the Board Of County Commissioners an update this Tuesday during the Board’s regular meeting.
