On March 16, CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid for the hydraulic engineering of 3, 4 and 5 universal berths at Shengrong Operating Area of Jiangdu Port area of Yangzhou Port with a contract value of 180 million yuan.
The project is located at the site 2.5km away from Jiaying, where is the left entrance of the Yangzhong river reach of the downstream of Yangtze River; a 40,000-ton miscellaneous berth, a 50,000 ton universal berth and a 70,000-ton universal berth are planned to be built, which are mainly used for loading and unloading of steels, lumbers coals and other sundries.
The completion of the project will satisfy the receipt, unloading and transporting requirements through water with an annual throughput of 3.5 million tons, which is of great significance in promoting the local social and economic development.
