Marine and River Inspection began carrying out a month of safety on sea and river transport – actions which is annually led for an exchange of experience and providing a sistemnost in work on navigation safety issues, and also for the purpose of the prevention of emergence of emergency incidents on sea and river transport.
Feature of a present month which distinguishes it from previous is a new approach in its carrying out, entered by the Marine and River Inspection and is urged to provide formalism avoidance at realization of the planned actions. The essence of an innovation consists in application of a method of self-image of a condition of efficiency of safety of navigation and attraction for this purpose to carrying out a month of skilled specialists of branch. So, in structure of the commissions which within a month will carry out checks of current state of safety on sea and river transport, entered not only Marine and River Inspection’s experts, but also GP “Gosgidrografy”, the Odessa, Ilyichevsky ports and Yuzhny port, Inspectorate for questions of preparation and a diplomirovaniye of seamen, and also Institute of problems of the market and ekologo-economic researches of National academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Information and analysis center of sea and river transport.
The commissions already began the work and till April 25 of the current year them will careful checks of observance on a water transport of Ukraine of national and international safety requirements of navigation are carried out. Also current state of maritime routes and navigation and hydrographic ensuring navigation in an exclusive (sea) economic zone, the territorial sea and internal sea waters of Ukraine is checked. Besides, the Commission will carry out random inspections of vessels under national flag of Ukraine for the analysis of current state of performance in Ukraine of Rules of control of vessels and some other actions according to the approved plans of checks.
Atb the end Marine and River Inspection will be carried out the detailed analysis of current state of breakdown rate on a water transport of Ukraine. On its basis department will develop a complex of the actions directed on elimination of revealed shortcomings and strengthening of level of safety on sea and river transport.
