As fenceviewer.com reports, the Selectmen on Tuesday made short work of their agenda, signing a consent agreement, naming a new road and making plans for an underwater cleanup of Bass Harbor.
Chairman Chris Eaton opened discussion of the cleanup of Bass Harbor, saying that the League of Underwater Superheroes, a Mount Desert Island diving club, is conducting an underwater cleanup of the harbor on Sunday.
The cleanup will focus on areas in the harbor that were not part of the federal dredging project completed last year, Mr. Eaton said. He asked the board how members would like to dispose of items brought to the surface.
“ There will probably be a lot of stuff ,” he said.
