On April 11, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. won the bid for the emergency maintenance and dredging works of Phase 1 and 2 areas of Yangshan Deepwater Port in 2012, with work quantities of 3.56 million cubic meters, a value of 72 million yuan and a construction period of six months.
The project will solve problems such as sedimentation in turning waters and internal waterways in Yangshan Port and low water depth that cannot meet the existing requirements of ship navigation, improve ships’ navigation and berthing capabilities, and quicken the pace to build Shanghai into an international shipping center.
