As the Quad-City Times reports, Newt Marine Co. will begin dredging operations today at the Clinton Marina.
Maintenance dredging will take place at the main river entrance to the marina and around the gas dock. Work is expected to continue for one week, during which boaters may experience a slight delay of boat access to the marina.
Once completed, the work will allow easier access to the marina and the gas pumps for the rest of the boating season. City staff also is developing a comprehensive dredging project for the fall of 2013, which will include Joyce’s Slough and the entire Clinton Marina.
