The public is invited to attend a meeting to learn about the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ sediment placement plan for the 2012 dredging season.
The meeting is June 12 at 10 a.m. in the Port of Astoria council chambers, 422 Gateway Ave., Astoria, Ore.
Representatives from the Corps and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will discuss dredging and disposal operations as well as the use of EPA-designated disposal sites.
