Dredging Department of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), has announced tender for the maintenance dredging works for the year 2012/2013.
These works include:
1) Dredging work by cutter suction dredger for maintaining navigability of Mawa-Mangalmajhi-Kathalbari-Charjanajat ferry and river route in the river Padma (Group-1);
2) Dredging work by cutter suction dredger for maintaining navigability of Mawa-Mangalmajhi- Kathalbari-Charjanajat ferry and river route in the river Padma (Group-2);
3) Dredging work by cutter suction dredger for maintaining navigability of Paturia-Daulatdia-Kazirhat ferry and river route in the river Padma and Jamuna (Group-1);
4) Dredging work by cutter suction dredger for maintaining navigability of Paturia- Daulatdia-Kazirhat ferry and river route in the river Padma and Jamuna (Group-2);
5) Dredging work by cutter suction dredger for maintaining navigability of Harinaghat-Alubazar ferry route and ferry ghat area in the river Meghna;
6) Dredging work by cutter suction dredger for maintaining navigability.
The deadline for this tender is July 12, 2012., and the project period is 6 months from date of contract award.
