The Pentwater Village Council Monday “clarified” its position on just how much it will contribute to the dredging of the Pentwater Lake channel at Lake Michigan, reports oceanaheraldjournal.com.
The village along with private individuals, the Pentwater Lake Improvement Board, downtown development authority, Pentwater Yacht Club and others have worked for the past several months to raise funds for harbor dredging after learning late last year no federal funding was available.
According to oceanaheraldjournal.com, Village Manager Jim Miller said the dredging crew is expected to perform the work late this week or early next week.
