Recently, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. has won the bid for the dredging and reclamation works of a 12.5-meter deepwater channel at the estuary of the Yangtze River and the siltation promotion and enclosure works (Phase 6)–enclosed reclamation works in Hengsha Dongtan.
Total contract value of this projects is 1.075 billion yuan and total reclamation quantities are 74.64 million cubic meters.
Among the two projects involved in the bid, the dredging and reclamation works of a 12.5-meter deepwater channel at the estuary of the Yangtze River has reclamation quantities of 5 million cubic meters; the siltation promotion and enclosure works (Phase 6)–enclosed reclamation works in Hengsha Dongtan will be fully reclaimed with the earth dredged from the dredging works of the 12.5-meter deepwater channel at the estuary of the Yangtze River, with a reclamation area of 32.34 square kilometers, interiorly, the enclosed zones will be divided into four subzones from west to east through 1, 2 and 3 separation dikes.
