The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announced today that bi-monthly conference calls to discuss the ongoing Jacksonville Harbor Deepening Study will begin next month.
The calls will be held the first Monday of every other month beginning on Monday, August 6th at 10:00 a.m. These calls will be open to the public and will allow opportunities to hear about project updates and provide input into the process.
Agenda items to be discussed during the calls include: engineering and design, economics, environmental, plan formulation, schedules, and other relevant topics. There will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions and provide comments at the end of each call.

The Jacksonville District is conducting a study to increase the depth of the existing federal channel along the St. Johns River from its current project depth of 40-feet to a maximum depth of 50-feet. The study is focused on the portion of the harbor up to river mile 14. The study will evaluate navigation concerns and provide recommendations for investigating navigation improvements.
