JAXPORT CEO Paul Anderson welcomed Colonel Alan M. Dodd and Colonel Donald E. Jackson, Jr. from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for an introduction and discussion of the challenges and opportunities facing JAXPORT.

Col. Jackson became Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division (SAD) on July 16, 2012. The South Atlantic Division is one of eight U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ regions providing engineering and construction services to the nation. It is the regional business center in the southeast, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, with district offices in Jacksonville, FL; Wilmington, NC; Charleston, SC; Savannah, GA; and Mobile, AL.

Col. Dodd is the Commander and District Engineer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District. He assumed command on June 28, 2012. The Jacksonville District has 14 regulatory branch offices located throughout the state of Florida and Puerto Rico and leads the Corps’ single largest civil works project – restoring America’s Everglades.
