As part of the SANDAG’s Regional Beach Sand Project, at the end of August more than 400,000 cubic yards of sand will come to Imperial Beach.
According to imperialbeach.patch.com, the dredger “Liberty Island“ is traveling to San Diego to pump sand from waters near Mission Beach onto the Imperial Beach.
This project will take place 24 hours a day and should begin near the south end of Seacoast Drive.
