A long-delayed dredging project on the Clearwater Pass channel has finally begun on August 6.
According to tampabay.com, this project is now hampered by technical difficulties.
A dredging vessel sent by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers got a few days of work done before it had mechanical problems with a propulsion unit.
At this point, the dredging probably won’t be done until mid-September.
