The Bengbu Port in eastern China’s province Anhui has passed official examination to become the first harbour on the Huaihe River to have a container terminal.
According to marine-news-china.com, the project is estimated to cost CNY278 million (US$43.7 million), and will cover an area of 27.33 hectares.
This new terminal will greatly reduce costs for local shippers.
