Several hundreds of visitors toured a newly built Fast Crew Supplier 5009. The FCS 5009, a 50 m vessel with the Damen Sea Axe bow, is used for crew, fuel oil, water and equipment supply to offshore platforms.
In addition, the displayed vessel will soon start its service as a Safety Standby Vessel in the Middle East, for which it is outfitted with a fast rescue boat and a FiFi system.
Many companies using Damen tugs, workboats or survey vessels, such as the Rotterdam Port Authority and SMIT, gave demonstrations on the River Maas.
