USA: CRA Announces Presenters for “Dredging Your Docks”

Chris Ransome & Associates, Inc., a specialized hydrographic survey company, announces this year’s speakers for the half-day dredging seminar, “Dredging Your Docks 2012,” to be held on Nov. 7, 2012, at Brady’s Landing Restaurant near the Houston Ship Channel. Chris Ransome & Associates, Inc., a specialized hydrographic survey company, announces this year’s speakers for the half-day dredging seminar, “Dredging Your Docks 2012,” to be held on Nov. 7, 2012, at Brady’s Landing Restaurant near the Houston Ship Channel.

This year’s line-up and topics include: Presiding Officer Robert Thompson (Houston Pilots – Pilot’s Perspective), Chris Frabotta (U.S.A.C.E., Galveston District -Status of Channels), Steve Nerheim (U.S.C.G. – Groundings Report), Capt. James Whitehead (U.S.C.G. – Opening Remarks), Jayson Hudson (U.S.A.C.E., Galveston District -The Permitting Process), David Casebeer and Garry McMahan (POHA – Disposal Areas) and Lt. Commander Xochitl Castaneda (U.S.C.G. – Waterways Suitability Assessments). Mark Coyle from Orion Marine Group and Chris Ransome from CRA, Inc. will discuss topics in private industry dredging and hydrographic surveying. Col. Christopher Sallese of the U.S.A.C.E. Galveston District will give the lunchtime address. More speakers to be announced soon.

The annual “Dredging Your Docks” seminar is an informative event organized by CRA and Orion Marine Group, with support from the Lone Star Harbor Safety Committee, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers- Galveston District, the Houston Pilots and the Port of Houston.
