Today, Milford Haven Port and their consultants, Turley Associates, will be presenting a draft of the Master Plan for the development of Milford Dock at a public exhibition.

Following on from the summer consultation events held in May, June and July 2012, which displayed initial ideas and plans to regenerate the entire dock and marina area at Milford Haven, the local community is again invited to view the plans and provide further comments.

The initial stages of consultation, which provided opportunities for anyone to get involved, focussed on listening to ideas and preferences for inclusion within the long term master plan. At each stage more detailed work was undertaken on the master plan and displayed for comment.

Although the Master Plan is a document that sets out the long-term vision, it will also form part of an outline planning application in the shorter term.

Estates Director for Milford Haven Port, Jeff Teague , said “ We want to ensure that we continue to fulfil our role as a key driver of economic activity within Pembrokeshire. We see the proposed development at Milford Dock as a significant opportunity for boosting the contribution that the marine-leisure, retail and fishing sectors make to the local economy”.
