The Pinellas Beach renourishment project is progressing very well and it will be completed in the next few weeks.
Andy Squires, the Pinellas Coastal Manager , stated: “ It’s a huge boost to tourism. It’s critical to our economy and provides a great deal of money to the system.”
This $31.5 million program includes dredging of fresh and quality sand from 12 miles off shore, according to wtsp.com.
“ It’s noisy, it’s dirty, it’s kinda of haste for people in the way of the project, but they’re all usually happy when it’s done,” concluded Squires.
