Before the end of October, the dredging vessel Currituck will begin its work on the boat channel in the Housatonic River between Stratford and Milford.
This $750,000 project will increase the channel depth to about 14 feet, stated Bill Rock, chairman of the Stratford Waterfront and Harbor Management Commission .
The project includes removing of 50,000 cubic yards of silt from the Housatonic River channel.
“ For 13 years we’ve been working on this ,” concluded Rock.
