China: First Harbor, Tianjin Dredging Win Huanghua Port Deal

Recently, CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. have won the bid for Section B and C of Phase 2 of cofferdam construction in the south of the bulk area of Huanghua Port, with a contract value of 427 million yuan and a construction period of 300 days.

Located in the south of the bulk area of Huanghua Port and the north of the outer channel of Shenhua Port, the project involves horizontally extending the existing Phase 1 of the south cofferdams -6.5 meters eastwards, intersecting with the existing south sand groins, and heightening the south sand groins and part of the north san groins in the outer channel improvement project of Shenhua Group in Huanghua Port. 16.53 kilometers of cofferdams will be constructed and heightened, with a total investment of 2.56 billion yuan.

With a contract value of 200 million yuan, Section B won by CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. involves the construction of 2.58 kilometers of cofferdams; with a contract value of 227 million yuan, Section C won by CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. involves the construction of 2.3 kilometers of cofferdams.

The project is of great importance to ensuring the smooth implementation of the 200,000t channel project in Huanghua Port and pushing forward the economic and social development of Hebei’s coastal region.
