The beach replenishment project, covering 16 miles of Baldwin County’s beaches, is expected to be wrapped up by March 29, 2013.
During this project, around 2.2 million cubic yards of fresh sand will be placed at the eroded beaches, according to al.com.
The latest schedule for the replenishment program:
• Laguna Key to Little Lagoon Pass in Gulf Shores: Nov. 13-Nov. 23
• Little Lagoon Pass to Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores: Nov. 23-Dec. 31
• Gulf State Park: Dec. 31-Jan. 16
• Orange Beach: Jan. 16-March 14
• Perdido Key/East Alabama Point in Orange Beach: March 14-29.
