The plan for the Little Narragansett Bay dredging project, as a very important venture, is slowly but surely taking shape despite the lack of funding.

The proposed dredging program at the mentioned area includes removing 35,000 cubic yards of sand and 50,000 cubic yards of the silt, according to thewesterlysun.com.

Michael Walsh, the project manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, stated that this dredging work is estimated to cost around $3.25 million.

The Little Narragansett Bay dredging is an important project for the recreational boating public and the town wants to make sure they are doing everything they can to support it, said the Town Manager Steven Hartford.
