USA: Cupsogue Beach Receives New Sand

According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the Cupsogue Beach has received new sand. According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the Cupsogue Beach has received new sand.

Around 130,000 cubic yards of sand, dredged from the Moriches Inlet, has already been placed at the mentioned area, stated Aphrodite Montalvo, the spokeswoman for the DEC.

She added that a total of 200,000 cubic yards will be pumped onto the Cupsogue Beach by the time the job is wrapped up on Friday, reports westhampton-hamptonbays.patch.com.

The cost of this project will be divided between the Army Corps of Engineers, the State and the County.
