Regarding the seagrass accumulation and beach erosion problems at the Port Geographe in Busselton, more than $28 million in funding has been announced by the State Government to address these issues.

The plan includes modifying the shape and length of the western breakwater.

This should eliminate trapping of the sediment and seagrass at the mentioned area.

Troy Buswell, the Transport Minister, a big supporter of this project, stated that realigning the foreshore will give South West residents better access to beaches in the area, according to abc.net.au.
