On December 7, CCCC Second Harbor Consultants Co., Ltd. won the bid for the preliminary design and geological survey of terminal and land forming works of Sinopec Tianjin LNG project, with a contract value of 16 million yuan.
Located on the end of the east basin of Dagang zone, Tianjin Port, the project has a Phase 1 annual handling capacity of 3 million tons of LNG and a Phase 2 annual handling capacity of 12 million tons. With a total investment of 1.76 billion yuan, the terminal and land forming works won this time involve an LNG berth, a working vessel berth, corresponding auxiliary facilities, etc.
After going into operation, the project will ease gas strains in Beijing and Tianjin and play a significant role in meeting clean energy demands in the Bohai-Rim region and promoting regional economic and social development.
