The Traverse City Commissioners voted to allow improvements to Northwestern Michigan College’s Harbor at its Great Lakes Campus, reports upnorthlive.com.
The college’s dredging permit was given the green light by City Commissioners.
According to upnorthlive.com, the school and the city say the actual dredging process will be a learning opportunity that could benefit the bay.
This step will pay off in the coming years by creating more of an attractive beach, the officials stated.
