On December 28, 2012, at the “Open a New Era of Eco-civilization”–Award Forum for China’s Top 100 Environmentally Responsible Listed Companies in Beijing, CCCC won the award.
The forum was organized by the Organizing Committee on Environmental Responsibility Survey of Chinese Listed Companies, the China Youth Center for International Exchange affiliated to the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and ce.cn, and supported by the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE).
The selection procedures of the award: the Organizing Committee on Environmental Responsibility Survey of Chinese Listed Companies made an initial selection based on the CSR reports of Chinese listed companies for 2010; SSE and SZSE issued questionnaires to the listed companies shortlisted through the initial selection and recovered questionnaires, and relevant experts selected the candidate companies based on questionnaires and volunteer-organized field surveys.
Upon disclosure by the official website of the questionnaire survey and the public welfare channel of ce.cn to the public, stock investors and 47 environmental NGOs, only the candidate enterprises not subject to objections or complains may be awarded.
