Corps Introduces Lower Charleston Harbor Dredging Plan (USA)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, has introduced a plan for maintenance dredging of the Lower Charleston Harbor and Wando River.

The work consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 1,055,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from the mentioned area.

The dredged material shall be deposited in the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS).

The work is located in Charleston County, South Carolina, and it will comply with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammals Protection Act.
