The Erie Port Authority has invited bidders to submit their offers for the dredging program on Lampe Marina, the East Avenue Boat Launch, and part of the East Canal Basin.

“ We would be doing this dredging project normally even with the water levels being normal. But now that they are low, it is extremely important we get this done, otherwise we have areas we can’t get into ,” said Ray Schreckengost of the Erie Port Authority.

The mentioned areas were last dredged 3 years ago, according to erietvnews.com.

This dredging project should last 3-4 weeks, and cost about $40,000, predicts Schreckengost.
