On January 28, CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid for the hydraulic and onshore works of Berth 6 to 9 in the Zhegujiang operation zone of Liuzhou Port, Guangxi, with a contract value of 101 million yuan and a construction period of 24 months.
Located in Zhegujiang Village about 10 kilometers from downtown Liuzhou, the project is closely in front of the Zhegujiang Railway Station along Hunan-Guangxi Railway, and involves four 1000t break bulk berths (designed to berth 2000t vessels) with a designed annual handling capacity of 2.1 million tons and a designed annual through capacity of 2.32 million tons.
The project will play a significant role in increasing Liuzhou’s waterway class and accelerating the construction of Liujiang waterway of the northern transport channel in the southeastern region.
