Sand is pumped onto the beach along Beach Road in Ocean City, NJ on Feb. 17, the second day of a three-month, federally funded beach replenishment project that will widen beaches between Seaspray and 14th Street.
The $10 million project will bring 1.8 million cubic yards of sand to beaches and dunes. This project was augmented after Hurricane Sandy on Oct. 29, 2012.
