The Final Environmental Impact Statement, proposed Master Plan, and proposed Shoreline Management Plan have been completed and are available for public review.
Public review must be completed by May 6.
The proposed Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan regulate activities and the long term management strategy of Eufaula Lake. The Final Environmental Impact Statement identifies the Preferred Alternative and the environmental impacts it would have on the lake.
The Preferred Alternative takes into account comments received during the public scoping meeting and comments received as part of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
It also takes into account the research completed as part of the EIS and known best management practices. Should a Record of Decision be issued, expected in May, the Preferred Alternative will be implemented as part of the Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan.
