The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is putting some new measures in place at Onondaga Lake to control the odor, reports cnycentral.com.

These new measures include the installation of a 35 foot tall wind screen and planting a vegetative barrier to reduce odor migration.

The officials announced that the Onondaga Lake dredging program will resume tomorrow and expand to 24 hours a day, six days a week, weather permitting.

Neighbors in Camillus have been complaining about the smell since July, saying that dredging has caused health problems.
