On April 1, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. won the bid for Lot 1 of the project of regular maintenance dredging of the Tonggu waterway and western port waterway in Shenzhen Port, with a contract value of 382 million yuan (around USD 61 million) and a construction period of 365 days.
Located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, with dredging quantities of some 10.71 million cubic meters, the project involves the regular maintenance dredging of the Tonggu waterway (including the transfer and maintenance of navigation marks and current meters in the leg), the widened dredging of the waterway and the dredging of the corner section of the south end of the watery way.
The project will boost the navigation capacity of Shenzhen’s Tonggu waterway and western port waterway, effectively ease the navigation pressure of the Mawan waterway and play a significantly role in promoting regional economic development.
