USACE to Issue IFB for Coney Island Beach Project (USA)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the placement of 272,000 CY of sand with an option of an additional 679,000 CY to restore the Coney Island Hurricane Shore Protection Project to its initial fill profile, for a grand total of 951,0

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the placement of 272,000 CY of sand with an option of an additional 679,000 CY to restore the Coney Island Hurricane Shore Protection Project to its initial fill profile, for a grand total of 951,000 CY.

The estimated project duration is 120 days. Sand for this project will be dredged from the Jamaica Bay Channel in Rockaway Inlet.

The estimated cost range for this project is between $10,000,000.00- $25,000,000.00.

Plans and specification for this solicitation will be available on or about 24 April 2013, and the bid opening date is on or about 28 May 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
