Gareloch Support Services (Plant) Ltd, has won the Girvan Harbour dredging contract.
This development project will include the maintenance dredging of Girvan Harbour by using a combination of suction and plough dredging.
The dredged material will be deposited on the sea bed immediately beyond the harbour mouth.
Councillor John McDowall, Sustainability and Environment Portfolio Holder said that the recent investments in the modernization projects demonstrate South Ayrshire Council’s commitment to Girvan Harbour and recognises its valuable role in supporting fishing, local business, tourism and leisure.
